Iyaaaaaaaaaaa mereka adalah Kings of Convenience yaa lebih singkat mari kita sebut KOC. Dari seluruh musik-musik favorit gue, Kings of Convenience menempati urutan pertama yeahhh The First :D.
Kings of Convenience itu berasal dari Bergen, Norwegia. KOC terdiri dari Erlend Øye dan Eirik Glambek Bøe, mereka berdua sama-sama menjadi vokalis, sama-sama bermain gitar, sama-sama juga menciptakan lagu.Erlend dan Eirik menggarap musik mereka secara akustik, beraliran indie folk-pop dan sangat passsssssssssss buat telinga gue I LOVE IT, I LIKE IT awww.

Øye and Bøe were both born in 1975 (Øye on November 21 and Bøe on October 25) and have known each other since they met while participating in a geography contest at the age of 10. At sixteen, they played together in the band Skog ("forest") with two other friends, releasing one EP, Tom Tids Tale, before breaking up and later forming the Kings duo.
KOC merilis album pertamanya pada tahun 2001 berjudul Quiet Is the New Loud. Album ini diproduseri oleh Ken Nelson yang juga pernah memproduseri Coldplay wow wow wow COOL. Gak lama setelah album ini di rilis, KOC meluncurkan album remix yang judulnya VERSUS, didalamnya disajikan beberapa lagu dari album Quiet Is the New Loud. Tapi setelah itu mereka vakum.

After this breakthrough year, not much was heard from the band. Øye spent the next few years living in Berlin and doing solo material, releasing music under the DJ Kicks series as well as a solo album titled Unrest. He also has a side project named The Whitest Boy Alive.
Akhirnya pada tahun 2004, mereka meluncurkan sebuah album yang diberi judul Riot on an Empty Street. Ini merupakan album favorit gueeeeeeee, semua yg ada di album ini gue sukaaa apalagi lagu andalan gue Homesick awwwww mengingatkanku pada seseorang. semuanya okeeeee!!! I LOVE IT.. I LOVE IT.. I LOVE KINGS OF CONVENIENCE.Di album ini mereka di bantu oleh penyanyi wanita asal kanada namanya Leslie Feist.

It was not until 2004 that the Kings' follow-up Riot on an Empty Street was released. The video made for "I'd Rather Dance With You," the second single from the album, topped MTV's European list as the best music video of 2004. The album also featured contributions by Leslie Feist.
Gak hanya gue doang yg memfavoritkan album ini, tapi juga seluruh dunia, juga seluruh kaum muda-mudi yg berbahagia di INDONESIA yesssssssssss. Tahun 2006 KOC juga pernah menggelar konsernya di Indonesia.
Setelah album ini keluar, KOC pun vakum lagi hiks hiks hiks..

The band had a period of inactivity, which led to speculations that they had stopped working together. On March 7, 2007 however, the duo played a one-off concert in Mexico City. There was also a concert scheduled for March 6, but it had to be cancelled, because Erlend had a problem with "Montezuma's Revenge" and was not feeling well. They played two concerts on March 7 and announced they were going to start work on their new album in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Most recently, in January 2008 the band played concerts in the Northern Norwegian cities of Tromsø, Svolvær and Bodø, and Swedish city Umeå along with a concert in August in Stockholm.
